    How it works

    The Pivot Shelf is two slotted steel decks joined by a center hinge. Line the hinge post up with the hole in the deck, drop the screw through, and push the two support frames into the slots underneath until they click flat. That is the whole assembly.

    To fit it, hook the arms over the faucet neck below the handle and let the weight settle. Nothing is drilled, glued or suctioned. Swing the two halves anywhere between 0° and 180°: flat against a back wall, square into a corner, or folded shut for storage.

    It hangs on the neck of the faucet, so it needs a single-handle tap. Faucets with two separate handles set wide apart leave nothing in the middle to hang from.

    Join the two decks

    Line the hinge post up with the hole in the deck and drop the screw through. Finger-tight is tight enough.

    Before you buy.

    Will it fit my faucet?

    If your faucet has a single handle, whether on top of the spout, at the side, or at the back, yes. The arms hook over the neck below the handle. If you have two separate handles set wide apart, there's nothing in the middle to hang from, and this isn't the right shelf for you.

    Does it scratch the faucet?

    The contact points are powder-coated and rounded, and the weight is spread across two arms rather than one hook. Chrome, brushed nickel and matte black all fare fine.

    How much can it actually hold?

    Rated to 11 lb / 5 kg spread across both arms. In practice that's a full soap dispenser, a cup, a couple of bottles and a brush with room to spare.

    Does water pool on it?

    No. The deck is slotted along its length and the underside is open, so water runs off and drops into the basin rather than sitting in the tray.

    Can I use it away from a sink?

    Yes. The legs stand on any flat surface, so it works on a desk, a dresser or a kitchen counter without a faucet at all.
